The shortlist for the Construction Marketing Awards 2011 has been announced, demonstrating that outstanding innovation and strategic thinking are not diminished by challenging economic conditions.

Judges were delighted with the quality of entries, with some truly excellent campaigns, particularly in the strategy and digital categories.

With a broad range of agencies and clients represented, IASB2B leads the field with eight shortlisted entries. McCann Manchester runs a close second, appearing on seven shortlists. Lafarge tops the client roster with seven different projects appearing on the awards shortlists.

Chair of judges Ian Exall says:

"I'm really pleased with another year of record entries. It shows marketers' creativity and enterprise is not dulled by the awful economy. I'm also really pleased by the growing strategic influence CIMCIG members are obviously having on their companies' activities. The quality of the entries was the highest I've ever seen, in particular in the 'Strategy' category - where companies taking marketing seriously at board level are clearly outperforming those who do not."

Over 30 companies and 20 agencies are in the running with results all hotly contested.

David Ing, Managing Director of CFA, shortlisted for Agency of the Year is not alone in being delighted:

"With 85% of our business in construction, the CMA's are a highlight of our year. It is hugely satisfying to see the quality of entries increasing, reflecting the growing professionalism within this sector. We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the fourth time."

The full shortlist can be viewed on the CIMCIG website www.cimcig.org. Winners will be revealed at the Awards Dinner in London on 29th November 2011.

The awards are sponsored by Glenigan, Building, Building Design and Construction News, and supported by CIB Communications, CFA, MRA, Facta, Highwire, Competitive Advantage, Chart Lane, Shepherd Gilmour and Housebuilder.
