Britain's leading manufacturer of bespoke homeowners' manuals has confirmed its presence at the inaugural housebuilding industry event, Bidec.
Classic Folios will use the three-day conference and meetings forum to showcase its specialist reservation and handover information packs and online support services.
The company supplies custom designed presentation packages to an expanding client base of more than 250 residential property developers.
Tim Wood, Classic Folios' Managing Director, said Bidec was an excellent opportunity to talk business face to face with major housebuilders.
Mr Wood said:
"This is an exciting new networking event for us and for the industry, the first we have supported since the credit crunch. Now that we are back to operating at pre-recession levels, we want to find out how we can help more developers deliver on their after sales and customer satisfaction objectives. We are especially keen to ensure housebuilders are aware of our online products and other services that can help them raise their game."
An initiative of McLean Events, Bidec brings suppliers together with procurement and technical managers from housebuilding companies for a series of pre-arranged meetings without the need for a costly, time-consuming exhibition.
The event takes place at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club at Meriden, Birmingham, from 29 November to 1 December 2011.
Complementing the meetings forum and display areas is a conference programme. Speakers include Ben Roskcrow, publishing director of magazine and media partner Housebuilder, and Rob Pannell, Head of Housing at the Zero Carbon Hub, a government-backed organisation with lead responsibility for delivering homes to zero carbon standards.
Housebuilders attending Bidec include a number of Classic Folios' customers such as The Berkeley Group, Linden Homes, United House and Lovell Partnerships.
Classic Folios' plot-specific handover packs are designed to give developers a consistent, professional brand image and reinforce their customer service message. The company manages everything from manual authoring, document design and print through to binder manufacture, package collation (including insertion of appliance manuals) and delivery.
Under the company's business model, clients pay a once-only set-up charge for access to editorial support but do not pay for any further edits or design once an initial order is agreed. This 'membership' approach is popular as it offers complete certainty on costs.
Classic Folios has recently celebrated its most successful month ever with orders received for more than 9,000 manuals.
The Hampshire-based company now employs 18 people and will turnover £1.1 million this year. It already has over £1 million on its order book for 2012.
