Having worked in the new homes industry in the private sector for more than a decade - Ian takes up the top spot with vast house building knowledge and experience to his credit.

Ian (45) is based at Stamford Homes' Grimsby head office and will be responsible for the company's current and future developments in and around North East Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

As well as developing and expanding the business to the North and West of the region through sourcing new land opportunities, Ian is keen to find a new 'home' for the head office - currently located at Heneage Road.

Ian said: "I'm delighted have been approached by Stamford Homes to take up the role as managing director for the region. With a cautious optimism surrounding the housing market at the moment, it is great to be part of such a forward-thinking and innovative company."

Ian takes over the reins from Brendan Blythe, who has returned to Stamford Homes' Midlands region to continue his present post of managing director.

Ian lives in York with his wife and their two teenage children.
