What Is Passivehaus Passive House or Passivhaus - a design methodology and voluntary performance standard for optimised energy use in buildings. What Can You Expect The full day seminar will show case the present Passive House buildings in Scotland and the UK, first monitored results and will explain details of the building methodology, which will be the backbone of the strategy to implement the toughened building regulations of 2016. The challenge for achieving highly energy efficient building is to design to the following criteria: - a super insulated, - thermal bridge free and - air tight thermal envelope, - while maintaining a good indoor air quality.
