TRADA has further enhanced its CD Rom service with the launch of timberWISE 3.05 for specifiers and designers, heavily discounted for members, containing more than 70 electronic Wood Information Sheets.
Among the Wood Information Sheets recently added are: Specifying timber exposed to weathering, Cross-laminated timber: introduction for specifiers, Timber engineering hardware and connectors, Timber strength grading and strength classes, Improving the thermal performance of existing timber frame buildings and Life cycle costing.
Within the 'Bonus Content', a key feature of the timberWISE service, are all TRADA's Construction Briefings, along with Group company Chiltern International Fire's Technical Information Sheets, including the recently revised TI- 1110 Historic buildings and fire safety.
The intuitive search and browse facility is based on Adobe Reader, allowing subscribers to search by title, category or reference code using expanded menus. The new edition can now be installed on multiple PCs (subject to terms and conditions of use).
New members will be offered timberWISE 3.05 when they join, but it may be purchased through the website at any time for the same discounted members' rate of £85.00. Non-members may now purchase at the new lower cost of £175.00, saving £60.00.
