Accreditation service from TRADA Technology to verify manufacturers' claims in their technical literature.

TRADA Technology will launch at Timber Expo 2011 a new service to provide independent assessment of the technical claims made by clients in their marketing literature. A 'TRADA Technology Assessed' licence will verify that brochures and manuals give a fair representation of product benefits and characteristics, for new or upgraded products.
TRADA Technology will identify the information sources given and ask for evidence of all technical claims, such as test evidence or product certification. As Technical Editor Adrian Young said, 'We will then assess the scope by documenting the number/type of technical claims, which may include drawings and photos as well as text, and identify standards and regulations relevant to the brochure.'
At the end of the process a licence will be issued, valid for two years, and the client will be able to use the TRADA Technology Assessed logo on the assessed literature. The client's customers will be able to check the validity of the licence for the brochure online.
