Working Well Together, a HSE initiative, aims to improve health and safety in the construction industry through events such as the Construction Safety & Health Awareness Day (SHAD) by selecting expert speakers to give practical, hands-on advice on a number of construction issues for small businesses. One of those expert speakers will be from AcePSI Group, here to focus on training regulatory requirements under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
AcePSI Group has supported their local HSE Office at SHAD for several years now and this week's event will be the Groups fourth time speaking about related topics within the Health & Safety sector. The Group is one of the UK's leading health and safety consultants, providing specialist advice and service for all asbestos-related problems to both the public and private sectors.
As we all know the construction industry is a high-risk one. The aim of the Construction Safety & Health Awareness Day, being held at Trinity Park in Ipswich on Wednesday 7th July, is to give practical, hands-on advice on topics such as Falling from Heights, which accounts for 50% of all deaths on building sites, Manual Handling, Dust and Asbestos; with related deaths increasing year upon year.
If you are a self-employed builder, manager or run a small construction company, this free half day event is a must. Up to date and practical advice is available to help you get to grips with health and safety on site. There is also a demonstration and exhibition area where you can see the latest equipment and services to help you and your business.
