Background
As with all retail groups, high street banks have many and varied compliance requirements in relation to asbestos. The Bank have appointed Redhills as their approved asbestos consultant for the past 3 years. This contract encompasses all aspects of asbestos management including Management and Refurbishment / Demolition surveys, annual re-inspections and air monitoring.
The portfolio covered within the remit of the contract includes not only all the high street branches but all commercial office premises and warehousing locations nationwide. The contract also extends to working directly for their sub-contractors for the ongoing branch redevelopment programme.
Project Details
The Bank contract works in two distinct ways. Firstly, operating directly for the Bank to assist their day to day compliance with Regulation 4 "The Duty to Manage" of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2006). This element of the contract involves carrying out planned and programmed Management and Re-inspection surveys across large numbers of branches. These surveys are conducted discreetly during opening hours whilst not disturbing branch operations.
