England-based Ulsterman Philip Wylie stayed well and truly on track at this year's British Historic Rally Championship round in Ulster thanks to AlignMyCar.
Philip, who was partnered by seasoned co-driver Howard Pridmore in the Category Two Post-Historic field, was behind the wheel of his 1972 Escort Mk1 for only the second time in an asphalt competition, with previous experience in the Ulster Rally driving an MGB.
He finished second in his class, a very respectable fifth in the Post-Historic (1967-1973) category and was the 18th Historic car home.
Philip's main sponsor for the rally was AlignMyCar, an online information station which helps motorists unravel the jargon and understand all about wheel alignment. What's more, the site also features a handy centre locator, giving the address of your nearest Hunter-equipped wheel alignment specialist.
"I knew we were going to be in with a chance because we had such a good outing at the Harry Flatters Rally in Brecon last year.
"However, my thanks must go to AlignMyCar, along with Gary Dunlop Motorsport in Bangor who prepared the car and looked after it during the event, for making sure we stood every chance of doing well," said Philip.
Kathryn Beaurain from AlignMyCar added: "Wheel alignment is an important issue for all motorists as well as racing enthusiasts. Benefits include better handling, which I hope Philip experienced during the rally. For other drivers, correct alignment also brings the added bonus of improved fuel economy, decreased tyre wear and safer driving."
