Long-term agreement provides aftermarket with easier access to Federal-Mogul's Expert Engine brands

24 March 2011, From 4 April, Federal-Mogul will distribute its Expert Engine brands in the UK via FPS Distribution, one of the UK's most successful and established automotive aftermarket parts distribution companies. The long-term strategic agreement with FPS will ensure even faster deliveries and increased availability of Federal-Mogul's premium quality AE, Glyco, Goetze, Nural, Payen and FP Diesel engine and sealing components.
Engine repairs are amongst the most time-consuming operations for installers and quality and availability of parts is critical. Through more effective customer support, repairers will get vehicles back on the road more quickly and more reliably, with improved margins and more happy customers.

"We have been working with FPS to ensure they have the right inventory to meet demand and our regional sales managers will continue to work directly with customers to ensure the speed and frequency of our deliveries reflects the outstanding quality of our Expert Engine brands."
The agreement will also allow Federal-Mogul to focus its in-house distribution on meeting demand for its OE-quality service products such as its braking, chassis and wiper brands Ferodo, Moog and Champion.
FPS provides the UK aftermarket with a same-day stock supply chain solution. The company is a trusted partner to more than 2,500 motor factor customers across the UK. Through a network of 20 sites, each carrying a range of over 40,000 parts and offering between two and six deliveries daily, the company's supply chain is a natural extension of factors' own operations. It also offers an overnight supply service to the same customer base, operating from its national distribution centre in Sheffield, which carries over 90,000 lines.
