XPart's Close Call team cuts MG Rover repair costs with reductions on high value mechanical parts

MG Rover parts specialist XPart is offering price reductions on mechanical parts required to keep MG Rovers on the road in the event of a major mechanical breakdown

XPart's Close Call team is offering price reductions on high value mechanical parts required to repair MG Rover cars affected by a major mechanical breakdown. The new reductions have been introduced in order to ensure that repairing an MG Rover car is less costly to owners and insurers than declaring it a total loss. Close Call has traditionally focussed on price reductions for crash repair items, however, in line with XPart's continuing drive to slow the decline of the MG Rover car parc, the team has expanded its reach to encompass components such as engines, gearboxes and cylinder heads, in the event of engine or gearbox failure or complex engine rebuilds.

"If a car is in danger of being written off due to major mechanical failure, we will consider offering price reductions for the basket of parts required," explains Roger Clarke, Product Planner, XPart. "The more MG Rover cars we can save, the greater the number of cars available for continued servicing and repair."

The Close Call scheme allows garages to offer insurance assessors and owners a compelling alternative to writing an MG Rover car off by providing a competitive quote on the parts required to repair it. Since the launch of Close Call in 2006, the scheme has saved nearly 80 percent of MG Rover vehicles submitted for consideration in the UK from being declared a total loss.

By completing a simple online request form, bodyshop and workshop managers receive a quote from XPart's Close Call team within 24 hours, allowing them to provide a rapid estimate to insurance assessors and vehicle owners. Once the insurance assessor or owner has confirmed that the cost of repairing the vehicle is acceptable, the garage can then proceed with ordering the parts from Close Call. The parts are normally delivered within two working days, allowing technicians to complete the repair work and return cars to the road as promptly as possible.

Bodyshops and workshops keen to take advantage of the price reductions offered by XPart's Close Call programme should call 0845 603 4451 or complete a Close Call enquiry form at www.xpart.com.
