The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named A. Gregory Bachmann, President of DYMAX Corporation of Torrington, CT, the 2011 Connecticut Small Business Person of the Year. "Greg's leadership and consistency to lead DYMAX into greater successes for decades to come is why he is being given this prestigious award," said Bernard M. Sweeney, Connecticut's SBA district director.

Mr. Bachmann's father, Andrew G. Bachmann, founded DYMAX in 1980, growing the company from an invention he developed in a basement laboratory into a global supplier of structural adhesives, coatings, encapsulants, and light-curing systems widely used in assembly applications. Thirty years later, the products manufactured by DYMAX continue to provide design engineers with tools to dramatically improve manufacturing efficiency and lower their costs. As a manufacturer of adhesives as well as dispensing and light-curing equipment, and with their recent advancements in LED-curing technology, DYMAX is positioned as an industry leader.

Along with its fourth straight year of inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list of most rapidly growing private companies, DYMAX was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce for its innovation and export activity. Today, DYMAX has over 200 employees globally and holds more than 25 patents.

In addition to their headquarters in Torrington, DYMAX has locations in Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Korea which serve the assembly needs of the medical, electronic, optical, automotive, appliance, metal finishing, power generation, and industrial markets worldwide.

DYMAX Corporation is a leading technology-based company specializing in the formulation, manufacture, and service of advanced assembly adhesives, coatings, epoxies, masking resins, and light-curing systems.
