The Problem
One of the UK's leading integrated power and gas companies - generating and distributing electricity, and retailing power and gas has embraced the power and efficiency of the Ergowize system. For an organisation of this scale that is spread across 50 locations in the UK and has 17,000 users of display screen equipment, there was an immediate and definite need to find an efficient way of ensuring compliance and resolving risks.

The Solution
The Utility company has been using ErgoWize since July 2009 and so far in 2010, 3136 users have completed the online training course and risk assessments. One of the key benefits of the ErgoWize software is the ability to customise the content and this is a feature that this organisation has utilised in creating additional risk assessments to cater for their hot-desk users which can be accessed on demand.
The Results
As the ErgoWize risk assessment is dynamic, when a number of the concerns are raised they can be instantly resolved by advice that pops up in response. As a result, the organisation has seen the number of issues raised average out at 1.2 per user.
The control of the training and risk assessment process is simplified by 3000 administrators all being able to access one learning management system (O-LAS). DSE responsibility is then delegated to the Managers who only see the users they are responsible for. With the support of automated user management, a data file is automatically uploaded each week.
