Langage Energy Centre is the first large power station to be built in the UK for five years. SA Roofing Ltd, which is a family run company, supplies high quality, but cost effective roofing solutions for industrial and commercial applications across the South West of England. Unfortunately during the building's construction, damage was done to the roof, so SA Roofing contacted Plastic Surgeon, Fine Finishers, to come up with a solution for its repair, feeling that this was the most sustainable option.
The challenge for Plastic Surgeon was to repair two corrugated silver panels at a dizzying height of 140 feet up a 220 feet chimney, while suspended from a crane in a three tonne man basket. Plastic Surgeon needed to work closely with the customer due to the weather and wind conditions limiting the availability of the crane, so it was arranged the Finishers could be onsite at short notice when circumstances permitted.
