Sunquest Information Systems®, a leading provider of pathology information technology, announces the launch of Sunquest Laboratory™ version 7.0, an exciting update to its market-leading laboratory software.
A new, intuitive, interactive and customizable graphical user interface (GUI) provides an improved and more personalized user experience. Sunquest Laboratory v7.0 establishes the foundation for industry-advancing user experience standards, workflow, and solution design enhancements. Sunquest specifically and thoughtfully designed the new user interface in partnership with clients to support a variety of user preferences for system interaction.
While many experienced users find it fastest to use a keyboard alone to navigate the system, and a subset of users prefer the mouse, the newest technologies also allow interaction directly with the screen. The new interface is designed to be highly compatible with touch screen technology, so it enables quicker learning and simplified adoption.
By understanding the needs of different user groups Sunquest was able to ensure a wide range of usability options that will appeal to a changing community of clinical lab users. "Sunquest Laboratory 7.0 was designed with the specific needs of laboratory professionals in mind," said Richard Atkin, Sunquest's President and CEO. "The laboratory is a complex, high volume environment; our new user interface offers intuitive, customizable user experience options that will help improve laboratory efficiency. I am proud that our laboratory solutions have been utilized by medical professionals for more than thirty years, and I am extremely pleased we are announcing availability of this next generation solution."
Introduced with version 7.0 is Sunquest Laboratory Clinical Validation™, a new module that automates the review process for microbiology test results requiring multi-level review or pathologist analysis. Clinical Validation improves patient care by effectively standardizing the complete review cycle, automatically queuing results for review. Logical actions such as release and redirect of specific components, individual accessions, or batches are done with a single mouse click.
Reviewers see a composite view of results, which supports comprehensive interpretation and promotes patient safety. Sunquest delivers workflow excellence to clinical laboratories through an easy-to-use, functionally rich, multi-facility laboratory information system. Streamlining end user functions decreases specimen processing times, increases productivity, and improves laboratory results turnaround times.
Laboratory 7.0 continues the delivery of advancements in laboratory workflow excellence that has become synonymous with Sunquest and does so with unprecedented usability enhancements that will excite and transform the lab.
