Miyachi Europe Unveils Expanded Manufacturing Facility in Germany and changes to a new IT infrastructure
Miyachi Europe, the leading supplier of resistance welding, hot bar, laser welding, and laser marking products, will be highlighting its growth and celebrating the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Puchheim, Germany at an event on November 9, 2011.
Mayor Dr. Herbert Kraenzlein will speak at the celebration, which will be attended by Tatsuo Inoue, Miyachi Europe's CEO, David Fawcett, Miyachi Europe's Chief Operating Officer, and Joerg Kundrat, Vice President for module and plant management.
Six new staff have been hired for various departments located at Miyachi Europe in Puchheim, and the plant's main production hall as doubled in size providing additional space for production, application and technical service.
According to David Fawcett, Miyachi Europe's Chief Operating Officer, the expanded manufacturing facility will improve turnaround time, facilitate equipment operations and maintenance, and provide increased space for producing goods and conducting technical services.
"We are excited to expand and to modernise our manufacturing capabilities to be better able to serve our customers," said Fawcett.
In addition to the increased physical space at the plant, Miyachi Europe is working with Pironet NDH Datacenters located in Cologne, Germany, to implement a lean information technology infrastructure initiative, and will be migrating to cloud computing in November 2011.
Both European production plants located in Helmond, The Netherlands and in Puchheim, Germany will be equipped with a new Corporate Network infrastructure which uses one common server and hence operates centrally from one terminal to allow the production plants, the five sales offices as well as all sales persons to access, to store and to share data 24/7.
"We are present with 120 employees in as many as 7 offices and 46 countries. A local IT support does not appear economical, and we are pleased to announce that our new partner Pironet NDH offers Miyachi Europe a sound mix of Cloud Computing, Managed Hosting and Corporate Networks."
The transition to a modern, easy to access, safe and efficient IT infrastructure meets the challenging needs of all departments at Miyachi Europe and comes hand in hand with automatic software, antivirus and user profile updates.
