New Lanner/Sparx Systems Partnership Lights Up BPM

Industry Best Practice and Commitment to BPMN 2.0 Sees Leading Business Process Management Players Converge
Published 08 October 2015

Lanner, a provider of simulation software proven to maximise performance and optimise resources, today announced a new partnership with Australia-based Sparx Systems, a world leader in enterprise architecture including full lifecycle modelling and design.  The partnership sees Lanner’s L-SIM BPM solution integrated into Sparx’ Enterprise Architect suite, enhancing its proposition to organisations embarking upon BPM projects, and capitalising on increased demand in this space.

As a leading visual modelling and design tool focused on the construction of software systems and business process modelling across the entire application lifecycle, Sparx selected L-SIM from Lanner based on its strong functionality, BPMN 2.0 standards and integration capabilities via BPSIM.  Lanner’s knowledge and strong track record in this space were also key to the decision.

Sparx Systems will be showcasing the latest version of its enterprise suite, incorporating L-SIM during a scheduled release of Enterprise Architect planned for Q4, 2015. Recent product releases include updated support for BPSim 1.0, BPEL 2.0, BPMN 2.0 and BPMN XML import/export, further bolstering its support for evolving technologies and standards.

“The BPM space is evolving all the time and it is crucial to ensure that technology is continually refreshed to meet the needs of modern day BPM environments, and this means keeping pace with the very latest standards and practices in Enterprise Architecture,” comments David Jones, CEO, Lanner.  “This ethos is something we are wholly focused on, testament to which is the number of successful partnerships we have for our L-SIM solution.  Sparx shares this ethos and we are incredibly excited to be embarking upon this new partnership.”

“Our relationship with Lanner is a key milestone in ensuring our customers benefit from the very best Enterprise Architecture solutions on the market, in line with the latest standards such as BPMN 2.0 and WfMN,” comments Sparx Systems COO, Tom O'Reilly.  “There is a significant appetite for solutions which can deliver across the entire BPM lifecycle, from modelling, design and prototype, to build, test, management and trace, which is what Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect has traditionally done best.  Through enhancing our core proposition with L-SIM, we are continuing to deliver at the leading edge of all aspects within our field".
