Peterborough-based medical devices company Coloplast has proven that its culture of nurturing its staff and enabling them to become the best they can be translates into real career success, with the promotion of existing employee Martin Beynon to marketing director.

Peterborough-based medical devices company Coloplast has proven that its culture of nurturing its staff and enabling them to become the best they can be translates into real career success, with the promotion of existing employee Martin Beynon to marketing director.
Martin, who has worked for Coloplast for seven years, began his career working in London as a nurse advisor in the company's continence division. A promotion to nurse manager and educational lead saw Martin move to the Peterborough office. He continued to climb the Coloplast career ladder, with further promotions including business development manager and marketing manager.
Martin says his career progression is thanks to the opportunities he has been given at Coloplast to work closely with management and senior management teams.
Martin explained: "Essentially I learnt on the job - being able to work with others gave me the skills and experience I needed to move up within the company. The culture at Coloplast has enabled me to move cross-functionally, giving me a better understanding of what is needed in each role.
"I am working with a strong marketing team and look forward to the new challenge and responsibilities. Coloplast has a great future ahead of it and I am proud to have the chance to be part of the team that shapes its future."
