Creative design and marketing agency, First Impression, with branches in Glossop and Buxton have appointed former Accrington Stanley Commercial Manager Martin Edmundson to deliver the growing company's medium to long term marketing strategy.

Martin, 25 from Manchester achieved one of the highest value commercial sponsorship agreements in Accrington Stanley's history after securing a six figure deal for their playing shirt sponsorship, and was also the man behind the rebrand of the world famous football club's emblem and new corporate identity. Martin led successful targeted marketing campaigns to the football club's international database and increased revenue from targeted consumer and corporate sales activity. Accrington Stanley's 2010/2011 season almost led to promotion to League One after reaching the League 2 play-off stages, a very different story to the bottom half of the table finishes in the seasons prior to Martin's arrival.

First Impression are delighted to appoint Martin to the newly formed position as he plays a vital role in communicating the success of First Impression's recent clients to the business community and trade press. Martin has a proven record in in leading national marketing campaigns for some of the largest brands in the UK such as; Pontins Holidays, The Horse and Bamboo Theatre and the National Football Museum since graduating with a BA (Hons) Management degree from UCLan's Lancashire Business school in 2008.


Speaking on the new appointment, MD of First Impression, Helen Duncan commented "Martin has an impressive track record in developing brands and achieving focused marketing objectives. His ability and desire to deliver results will prove valuable for our new and existing marketing partners."
First Impression aims to increase the number of marketing partners over the next year, delivering a range of marketing activities to achieve the specific objectives of their customers.
