Following the recent successful launch of a series of new websites, netXtra has again extended the value of ABCUL's (Association of British Credit Unions Limited) online offering by launching a new e-learning microsite  - for members and other visitors to the site.

Providing a wealth of course information for those who want to learn more about managing and running a credit union, the new microsite supports three separate levels of individual learning, all supported by the site's comprehensive search facility.

Visitors can gain access to 'face-to-face' learning opportunities, detailing a range of classroom courses run by ABCUL throughout the year. Visitors can also enrol onto a number of ABCUL's 'Virtual Learning' courses, where students can log in and learn from the comfort of their own home or office. As well as offering a facility for convenient learning, these courses also allow participants to fully interact with both trainer and other course participants, meaning students benefit from others, just as they would in a normal classroom. Another exciting new feature of the new microsite is ABCUL's 'Self-Paced' courses, whereby students can log into the site and learn from a wide range of ABCUL courses, at a time and pace to suit them.

Promoted to members using the site's interactive calendar, the microsite also allows ABCUL to promote and register members and Chapters onto a series of free webinars. Complete with RSS feed facility to keep visitors regularly updated with new presentations in the notification format of their choosing, webinars allow ABCUL to present topics and issues of interest to credit unions via the virtual learning space.

Once logged in, members and subscribers can also manage their online profiles and subscriptions, as well as view their full course purchase history.

Mark Lyonette, Chief Executive of ABCUL said "The whole e-Learning initiative is something we at ABCUL are very excited about. Our members and others in the industry have the chance to learn about every aspect of running a credit union, and in a way that suits them." Mr Lyonette went on to say "We were pleased to work in partnership with netXtra to offer this enhanced service to our members and to take advantage of netXtra's experience of providing web services for similar organisations."
