Cheshire-based recycling services company Palm Recycling has appointed Ben Saunders as Group Operations Manager, strengthening the company's leadership team through the wealth of experience of the recycling sector he brings with him.

Ben, previously working for Social Enterprise Group ECT, fills the position left vacant following the retirement of David Jaffa in November 2010.

Palm Recycling, a subsidiary of Kings Lynn-based Palm Paper, is continuing to grow its recycling activities including the expansion of its transfer and sorting infrastructure; Ben's addition to the leadership team will help meet that objective.

Since joining ECT in 2003 Ben has filled a number of leadership and management roles and during that time has developed considerable expertise in recycling and production methodology, which will all be put to good use enhancing Palm Recycling's capabilities in its delivery of services to Local Authorities and commercial business.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director Ron Humphreys said: "I look forward to welcoming Ben to the leadership team at this important time in the company's progress; he will bring an added dimension to the value proposition we have to offer to our clients and customers."
