UK Time Solutions Ltd continues its association with the London School of Economics through the upgrading of their existing proximity card security system to a higher security rated Milfare card system.

Five terminals will be upgraded to the Milfare system, a programmable proximity card which allows for multi layered security where individuals can be allowed to access all areas or only certain pre-designated areas.

UK Time Solutions director Chris Routledge says:

"Higher education establishments face a singular challenge given the numbers of staff and students who require access to different areas of the university. Estates and security personnel require access to all areas, students, administration and teaching staff to some common areas; administration and teaching staff require access to their offices. In addition there will be highly secure research areas, often housing dangerous or sensitive equipment which require that access is granted only to authorised personnel and that their times of access are recorded. The challenge lies in developing one unified solution that will deliver maximum security with minimum fuss and low maintenance. We are delighted to be working with the LSE towards this goal".
