SECURA-CAM has added another certificate to its long list of security credentials - the nationally recognised BAFE accreditation in fire safety.
The company has spent the past six months rigorously working towards the certification, issued by the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB).
While Peterborough-based Secura-Cam has been successfully installing fire alarm systems at commercial and residential properties for 25 years, this latest qualification also allows for the design, commission and handover as well as the maintenance of fire security systems.
Secura-Cam managing director Richard Joyce said: "This is a real feather in our cap, and enables us to step up and further improve the already long-running fire safety aspect of our business.
"We have successfully met all the required legislation required by BAFE, which is a Government-supported, non-profit making organisation dedicated to improving standards in fire protection."
Secura-Cam, which is based in the village of Yaxley, near Peterborough, is among only a handful of local businesses to be awarded the accreditation.
The company provides a full range of security services, including CCTV, surveillance and intruder alarms, to commercial and domestic customers locally and across the country.
