Allianz Arena, the 66,000-capacity ultra-modern football stadium in Munich, implemented the latest state-of-the-art digital locking and access control systems from SimonsVoss Technologies Middle East. Allianz Arena, also dubbed as an architectural wonder, secured all its 1900 doors using SimonsVoss' futuristic wireless transponder technology.

Allianz Arena is the new home to two leading football clubs -- Bayern Munich and 1860 Munich and can be illuminated to colours of the home team playing, which is to red for Bayern, blue for 1860 and white for Germany. The effect is created by light panels inside the 2,000 plus translucent foil cushions that cover the stadium. The opening match of the World Cup 2006 will be played at the Allianz Arena.
Speaking on their transponder technology implementation, Mr. Bernd Dietel, CEO of SimonsVoss said: " Our transponder technology powered by RFID is wireless, which helped in keeping the installation costs low as compared to any card systems."

The wireless transponder system - in general - may also be interconnected to time keeping, canteen billing and alarm systems. The other unique features are active transponder technology, easy upgrading or expansion, network version without external cabling on the door and frames, programming and administration from a central location via a PC which makes it very easy to use.
