In what is thought to be a market first, single-colour images can now be printed in any Pantone shade onto any choice of upholstery, whilst 2, 3 and 4-colour reproduction will be offered if there is customer demand. The price for a one-off order is just £75 ex VAT, including set-up and screen origination, with initial run-ons at £55 and further volume discounts available.
"Branding and corporate colours are increasingly important in the healthcare and therapy sectors and requests for this customising option initially came from tattoo studios, hair & beauty clinics and health clubs," says Plinth 2000 MD, Niall Dyer. "It's equally applicable to hotels, hydros, care homes and professional sports clubs, which have in-house treatment rooms or clinics and wish to project an integrated brand identity, as well as private hospitals and independent healthcare practices. There is also a case for printing cartoon characters or other bright images in paediatric departments, to create a child-friendly look in an otherwise stressful environment."
Corporate identities or logos are nowadays widely used in the private and public sector, to project particular brand values and make a lasting visual impression on regular and prospective clients. Integrated across elements like signing, stationery, workwear and print, a consistent identity helps build brand awareness and customer loyalty; now, applied to clinical and treatment room furniture, it will add to an overall image of professionalism. Certainly for hotels, health spas, private hospitals, football and rugby clubs, high street salons and the like, which have already invested substantially in corporate branding, Plinth 2000's customising option is a logical extension, while for independent clinics it helps give a distinctive competitive edge in a crowded marketplace.
Plinth 2000 offers one of the widest selections of purpose-designed treatment couches and chairs on the market, divided into specialist Clinical, Surgical, Examination & Treatment, Podiatric and Therapy ranges. Options extend from 2, 3 and 5-section plinths, through portable treatment, changing and tilt tables, to specialist designs for phlebotomy, neurology, ultrasound, echocardiography, chiropractic and gynaecology applications, in addition to podiatry and dentist chairs, operator seating and bariatric models.
All upholstery is vinyl, washable, fire-retardant and mostly includes patented antimicrobial technology, with a standard choice of eighteen colours. However, special upholstery shades are available to order, for matching specific house colours, and, taking advantage of a manufacturer that handles all design and assembly in-house, logos can be printed onto any product in any colour, usually on the backrest for optimum exposure.
Plinth 2000 does not necessarily anticipate much demand for customising surgical furniture or those designed for specific medical procedures. But regular plinths, beauty treatment and tattoo couches, portable treatment tables, fixed-height practice couches, the next-generation Kiko model, even dentist and podiatry chairs, could all be enhanced with a discrete logo, trust symbol, shield or club badge.
