myHermes, the consumer delivery specialist, has launched a new economical parcel service for people needing to send packages overseas. myHermes International offers a cost effective alternative to the Royal Mail when shipping items to 190 countries across the world.

myHermes International is 31% or £12.51 cheaper than Royal Mail when sending an individual parcel to Australia and 12% or £1.55 lower for parcels heading to Germany*. The new service covers six continents in total and includes countries such as New Zealand, China and the US as well as all major European states.

Customers can receive a free quote and book delivery through myHermes’ dedicated website. Once an order has been confirmed, users can drop their package off at one of 4,500 myHermes ParcelShops for onward delivery or opt to have their parcel picked-up by a courier, which is a convenient choice for people living in rural areas or those without transportation. Customers will also be able to track their parcel’s journey via the website.

Carole Woodhead, CEO of myHermes said: “Every year millions of people from the UK send parcels to loved ones, family members or friends who are living in different parts of the world. Therefore we wanted to launch a cost effective international service that saved people money when posting those special packages overseas.”
