Wensleydale Dairy Products, producers of the only real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese in the world, has implemented Pegasus Software's Opera 3 solution

Northamptonshire, UK - 24th May 2011 - Pegasus Software, a leading supplier of accounting and business software, today announced that Wensleydale Dairy Products, producers of the only real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese in the world, has implemented its Opera 3 accounting and business software solution. Using Pegasus XRL Reporting, financials, payroll and supply chain management, Wensleydale will use the solution to increase visibility and improve productivity across its Yorkshire-based business.
Having used Opera II for a number of years, Wensleydale upgraded to Opera 3 to take advantage of its enhanced Supply Chain Management capabilities. Previously the manufacturer used manual processes and spreadsheets to manage its supply chain. However as part of an initiative to improve efficiency, the dairy company required a more sophisticated solution to manage peaks and troughs in supply and demand, and optimise service levels.
"The new functionality in Opera 3 means that we can perform our month end much quicker, and because stock management is integrated with our accounting processes, we have 100% visibility of inventory, production and delivery schedules," comments Paul Birnie, Financial Director, Wensleydale Dairy Products. "Now that we have this benchmark we hope to be able to tighten our processes further and reduce inventory to maximise efficiencies across the organisation."
Working with Pegasus' Platinum Partner, TSG, Wensleydale went live with Opera 3 in March 2011 for 15 users.
